I’m entirely prepared to publish this and then watch the Bears trade the top pick and the entire draft goes off the rails.
As always, may all your teams win the draft or be the Panthers.

1. Chicago Bears (from Carolina)
Pick: Caleb Williams, QB, USC
There’s a theme for me when I’m asked if I think a QB draft pick will boom or bust. I want to know the situation they’re going into. Will they get time to learn and develop, will they get good, consistent coaching, and do they have offensive weapons already in place.
I guess 1 out of 3 ain’t bad. Good luck, kid.
2. Washington Commanders
Pick: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
As the draft hour approaches, it’s starting to sound like this could be Jayden Daniels, but I’m sticking with Drake Maye.
3. New England Patriots
Pick: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
Ultimately, these 2 should go 2-3, in either order, depending on where teams have them on their board.
4. Arizona Cardinals
Pick: Marvin Harrison, Jr., WR, Ohio State
For all the hype about the other WRs at the top of this class, Marvin Harrison, Jr. should be the first off the board, and it shouldn’t be close. As his former QB C.J. Stroud said, “Don’t be dumb. Don’t think too hard.”
5. Los Angeles Chargers
Pick: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
I know it seems like this should be a WR, but Bowers would give Justin Herbert a unique receiving option.
6. New York Giants
Pick: J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan
If 3 QBs are off the board at this point, the tension will ratchet up quite a bit to see what the Giants do. They could go WR or trade down and keep rolling with Daniel Jones, or they can turn the page and grab McCarthy early.
7. Tennessee Titans
Pick: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
Best not think too deeply on this one. Lock down the blindside with a set-and-forget LT and give Will Levis the best chance to succeed.
8. Atlanta Falcons
Pick: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo
I think this will be a corner, but I’m not fully convinced it’ll be Mitchell. Several corners in this class could be taken anywhere in the 1st round.
9. Chicago Bears
Pick: Laiatu Latu, ED, UCLA
The Bears defense really put it together late last season. It would be tempting to grab a WR to pair with Caleb Williams, but I say go get a pocket wrecker.
10. New York Jets
Pick: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State
40 year old QB protected by 33 year old tackles. There’s no way that holds up. Fuaga could start at RT on day 1, and could fill in at LT if needed.
11. Minnesota Vikings
Pick: Byron Murphy II, IDL, Texas
A bad defense lost its best player (Danielle Hunter). I know QB is a big need, but it won’t matter how good your offense is if they have to put up 40 every game just to stay in it.
12. Denver Broncos
Pick: Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
This just feels like a Sean Payton pick.
13. Las Vegas Raiders
Pick: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
It’s unclear if the Raiders are comfortable going into the season with Aidan O’Connell. If they are, giving him a top WR to go with DaVante Adams is a good recipe.
14. New Orleans Saints
Pick: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
If they insist on rolling with Derek Carr, might as well surround him.
15. Indianapolis Colts
Pick: Dallas Turner, ED, Alabama
I would be surprised if Turner fell this far, but I would be more surprised if he was available and the Colts didn’t take him.
16. Seattle Seahawks
Pick: Troy Fautanu, OL, Washington
One of the more versatile offensive linemen in the draft. He could fill several of Seattle’s needs.
17. Jacksonville Jaguars
Pick: Jared Verse, ED, Florida State
Of the 3 edge rushers I have slotted between picks 9 and 17, I think those teams have a need in those positions and I think the 3 players could be swapped around. Not saying they’re equal in their abilities, just that they’re 1-2-3 on the draft boards if those teams.
18. Cincinnati Bengals
Pick: Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia
This is a stretch, but it’s entirely based on need. The Bengals don’t need another outside WR, but they could use an explosive slot WR.
19. Los Angeles Rams
Pick: Darius Robinson, DL, Missouri
No one is replacing Aaron Donald, but someone needs to try. Robinson is a versatile lineman who can rush from multiple spots.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers
Pick: JC Latham, OT, Alabama
Let’s stop pretending Russell Wilson is a mobile QB. He needs time to marinate before he cooks, and currently his blindside is exposed.
21. Miami Dolphins
Pick: Jer’Zhan Newton, DL, Illinois
No one is replacing Christian Wilkins, but… well, you get the picture.
22. Philadelphia Eagles
Pick: Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama
For a team with so much talent all over the field, Philly was painfully undermanned in the secondary.
23. Minnesota Vikings (from Cleveland through Houston)
Pick: Michael Penix, Jr., QB, Washington
I love when 1st round picks change hands multiple times. This was originally the Browns pick that was traded to Houston as part of the DeShaun Watson deal, then Houston sent it to the Vikings for multiple 2nd round picks and a late round pick swap. If Minnesota doesn’t take a QB at 11 or trade up even higher, I think they’ll go for it here.
24. Dallas Cowboys
Pick: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia
100% guess based on what I think is a need. I have no clue what Jerry Jones might do. Nothing he says makes sense anymore, and I’m starting to think that’s not by design.
25. Green Bay Packers
Pick: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa
Eric Stokes can’t stay healthy and there’s no telling what goofy crap Jaire Alexander might pull at any time. Any of the top DBs woukd be good value in this spot.
26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Pick: Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas
Play all the 2-high shell you want. Add the speed of Worthy to the speed of Trey Palmer and the experience and abilities of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and watch any secondary scheme crumble. Maybe then Tampa can stop slamming Rachaad White between the tackles.
27. Arizona Cardinals (from Houston)
Pick: Graham Barton, OL, Duke
If Kyler Murray is the guy, then you need lineman who can move. Barton can play anywhere on the line and has the athleticism to slot into some spots immediately.
28. Buffalo Bills
Pick: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
I’m of the unpopular opinion that Buffalo has enough weapons on offense. Losing Stefon Diggs might actually be a net positive… lose the distraction and open the door for Khalil Shakir to shine. Secondary is a bigger need.
29. Detroit Lions
Pick: Chop Robinson, ED, Penn St
When you have very few roster holes, you draft edge rushers. I don’t make the rules.
30. Baltimore Ravens
Pick: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas
This could be several players, but I think the position is at least correct. Keon Coleman is another intriguing possibility. His stock plummeted when he ran a 4.6 40, but you don’t have to run past guys if you can just jump over them. Or through them or around them.
31. San Francisco 49ers
Pick: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama
Players with this level of football intelligence don’t drop out of the 1st round.
32. Kansas City Chiefs
Pick: Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon
Similar to the Ravens, the Chiefs need reliable targets. Besides Franklin or the aforementioned Coleman, they could also get the jump on the second TE off the board. Someone like Ja’Tavion Sanders would be a hell of a complement to Travis Kelce.

More entertaining and likely more accurate then Mel Kiper Jr. Just sayin’.
And not nearly as loud 😂
